On 22 April 2026, our Community & Partnerships Manager, Kalle Fahlvik, represented Allied For Startups at the HackSummit, which took place in Lausanne, Switzerland.
Kalle joined a panel discussion “Europe’s Industrial Policy: What It Actually Means for Founders,” alongside Kat Borlongan (European Innovation Council), Isabelle Moret and Yann Costa (État de Vaud), and Rokas Pečiulaitis (Contrarian Ventures). Together, they explored how Europe’s industrial strategy is shaping the startup ecosystem, and what needs to change to better support innovation across borders.
The discussion highlighted a key challenge: while startups operate at speed and scale across markets, policy frameworks often remain fragmented and risk-averse. Bridging this gap is essential if Europe wants to unlock the full potential of its entrepreneurial ecosystem.
Warm thank you to Arman Anatürk, Emilie Dellecker, and the entire Hack Summit team for the kind invitation, and for creating a platform where these conversations happen.
