On 9 November, our President, Simon Schaefer, represented Allied For Startups at the Startup Guide Summit at Casa do Impacto in Lisbon.
Hosted by Startup Guide and The App Association, the Summit brought together over 200 ecosystem builders and policymakers from across Europe, including the S9+ Coalition, Danish Entrepreneurs, and Startup Portugal.
Simon took part in the panel debate “One Year After Draghi – Does Europe Lack Competitiveness, or Just Confidence?” alongside MEP João Cotrim de Figueiredo (Renew Europe) and André Costa de Sousa (Nespra), moderated by Simone Skovshoved (S9+ Coalition, Danish Entrepreneurs).
Later in the day, he explored how the 28th regime could reshape how startups scale across Europe, leading a dedicated working group and participating in the “Hack the Future: Shaping Policy Together” policy hackathon.
The insights shared in Lisbon will support our work to advocate for a stronger, more connected European startup community.
