Allied for Startups at the EAIC Webinar on Europe’s 28th Regime and a Harmonised Single Market

Last week, our Head of Policy, Vasco Pereira da Silva, spoke at a webinar on the 28th Regime and a Harmonised Single Market, organised by EAIC – European Association of Innovation Consultants.

Alongside Kevin Barrett (Cabinet of Commissioner Michael McGrath, European Commission), Joachim Henkel (Technical University of Munich), and Irene Larroy (EY), they explored how the EU’s 28th regime could simplify cross-border business and support innovators.

During his contribution, Vasco highlighted that the proposal is a positive first step for Europe’s fragmented startup ecosystem, but not a full solution. He stressed that Europe’s challenge is not just creating startups, but helping them scale and attract investment, and noted that national differences – like courts and registries – could affect a consistent experience across countries.
