Allied For Startups at the EIT Urban Mobility Startups & Innovation Breakfast
On 3 June, our Director-General, Serena Borbotti-Frison, attended the Startups & Innovation Breakfast hosted by EIT Urban Mobility, ahead of the EIC Summit.
The discussion brought together startups, investors, and innovation leaders to explore how Europe can further strengthen support for ventures transitioning from funded innovation to full market adoption.
During the breakfast, startups from the EIT Urban Mobility portfolio – including Everimpact, Vianova I/O, and Sention Technologies – shared their experiences of building and scaling in the urban mobility sector. Key themes included engagement with public procurement, product development at European level, and the motivations behind choosing to build and grow within Europe.
In her intervention, Serena emphasised the importance of ensuring that Europe provides the right conditions for companies to scale successfully and remain globally competitive, so that founders choose Europe not only out of affinity, but because it is the most attractive and sustainable place to grow.
We extend our thanks to EIT Urban Mobility for the invitation, and to all participants for the insightful exchange. Special appreciation goes to the founders who shared their perspectives: Mathieu Carlier, Thibault Castagne, and Dan Brett.
