Europe 2024-2029

On 10 January 2024, we brought together European innovators and policymakers at the European Parliament to discuss the future of Europe’s digital economy. Against the backdrop of the EU’s extensive regulatory efforts from 2019 to 2024—covering digital markets, online content, cybersecurity, data, cloud, and artificial intelligence—our event served as a crucial platform for dialogue on shaping the next phase of tech policy.

With the Belgian presidency setting the EU’s priorities for 2024 and the upcoming elections set to influence the next five years, we engaged in meaningful discussions on how to foster innovation while ensuring effective regulation. Key conversations focused on balancing policy with technological advancement, unlocking investment to strengthen European competitiveness, and creating an ecosystem where startups can thrive.

Speakers:

  • MEP Morten Løkkegaard – Renew Europe

  • Mathieu Michel – Belgian Federal Government

  • MEP Eva-Maria Poptcheva – European Parliament

  • Astrid Bartels – European Commission

  • Wiktoria Wójcik – Co-founder, inStreamly

  • Olivier Dubuisson – Partner, Karista VC

  • Sacha Michaud – Co-founder, Glovo

This event underscored the importance of collaboration between policymakers and the startup ecosystem, ensuring that Europe remains at the forefront of digital innovation.
