Allied For Startups Becomes a Partner of the “Investment for a Competitive and Sustainable EU” Intergroup in the European Parliament

[Brussels, 2 September 2025] Allied For Startups (AFS) is proud to announce that it has become an official partner of the “Investment for a Competitive and Sustainable European Union” Intergroup in the European Parliament.

The Intergroup, launched earlier this year, will play a key role in shaping EU policies throughout the 2024–2029 legislative term. Over 50 Members of the European Parliament are already engaged in this initiative, and its Bureau brings together six co-chairs from three political groups. 

As an official partner, AFS will contribute directly to the Intergroup’s agenda, propose events and initiatives, and will be involved in discussions surrounding Europe’s investment, competitiveness, and sustainability. By joining this initiative, AFS ensures that the perspective of entrepreneurs and innovators is included in the development of Europe’s long-term investment and competitiveness strategy.

The Intergroup builds on the recommendations of the Draghi report, which underscores the urgent need to boost investment in areas such as innovation, infrastructure and the green and digital transitions. In this context, startups and scale-ups are essential drivers of competitiveness, job creation and sustainability.

Allied For Startups looks forward to working with policymakers, fellow partners, and other stakeholders through the Intergroup, to reinforce Europe’s growth potential and ensure that startups are central to the continent’s investment agenda.
