Allied for Startups grows team: welcomes Daniel Dalton as Senior Advisor and promotes Benedikt Blomeyer as EU Policy Director.
[Brussels, 15 July, contact: [email protected]] Allied for Startups is onboarding former MEP Daniel Dalton as Senior Advisor and promotes Benedikt Blomeyer to EU Policy Director. “We are very proud to expand our team and continue to grow as our role as a global startup association. Making the voice of startups heard in policy and government is more necessary now than ever before in the post-COVID-19 economy” said Melissa Blaustein, CEO and Founder of Allied for Startups.
Daniel Dalton is a former Member of the European Parliament with a track record in digital policy and innovation. He was the Rapporteur of a number of key digital files and led his group in its response to many digital initiatives in the last mandate. “Startups are hugely exciting and many have great potential to change the world. I’m delighted to have the chance to work with them and to help them navigate the Brussels digital policy making environment” said Dalton.
Benedikt joined Allied for Startups in 2016 as a Policy Officer and has been the Manager for European Affairs since November 2018. “Benedikt’s experience with the Digital Single Market, the EU policy environment, startup ecosystems and Allied for Startups make his promotion a natural next step.” said Blaustein.
Allied for Startups will keep bringing startup voices to the forefront of the policy debate, especially in the current context, where startups can provide the green and digital transformation that countries are looking for post-COVID-19.
