The Italians join AFS in advocating for increased support for innovative companies across Europe
Italian Tech Alliance and InnovUp, key representatives of Italy’s innovative entrepreneurial ecosystem, are calling for enhanced support for innovative companies across Europe in light of the upcoming EU Elections.
“We are excited to support the Allied for Startups manifesto as a means to promote policies in favour of innovative businesses in Europe.” – says Giorgio Ciron, Director of InnovUp.
The organisation is advocating for enhanced digital skills, enabling Europe to meet labour market demands and support the sustainable growth and competitiveness of startups. “To ensure sustainable growth of startups and improve Europe’s competitiveness in the labor market, it is essential to invest in strengthening digital skills. We need to create new and updated training programs at all educational levels, valuing talents – attracting foreign ones and preventing brain drain – and supporting the presence of women in the tech sector” adds Mr Ciron.
Italian Tech Alliance, on the other hand, promotes the recognition of a European startup/scaleup status, which would foster a dynamic entrepreneurial environment across the European Union. “This harmonisation would relieve entrepreneurs of unnecessary administrative burdens, allowing them to focus their energies on promoting their business activities” says Francesco Cerruti, Director General of Italian Tech Alliance.
Together, we are championing a Europe that nurtures entrepreneurship and offers robust support for smaller, innovative enterprises.
