Startups’ 13 recommendations for the post COVID-19 economic recovery
In May 2020, given the COVID-19 pandemic and its impact on the global economy, leaders of startup communities across the world formed a working group to work on measures to support startups in this extraordinary time, and by doing so spark the post-COVID-19 economic recovery. The group focused on putting startups in the centre of COVID-19 solutions and the economic recovery, identifying and sharing best practices and developing a common advocacy strategy.
A central output of this working group is a list of 13 recommendations for the post COVID-19 economic recovery, which was published on 1 July. The document provides 13 concrete recommendations from startup organisations to national governments and international organisations in the fields of investment, talent and policy. The document is also a call to the European Union and governments across the globe to provide startups with financial and political support, empowering them to thrive and build the economy of the future.
We encourage startup communities across the globe to share and spread the word!
